“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9).

The Heart Says, God Says

The Heart Says:

“It is impossible.”

Jesus Says:

“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark  9:23).

The Heart Says:

“I am too tired.”

Jesus Says:

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30).

The Heart Says:

“Nobody really loves me.”

Jesus Says:

“I love you.” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

The Heart Says:

“I cannot go on.”

Jesus Says:

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of
Christ may rest upon me” (2 Cor. 12:9).

The Heart Says:

“I cannot figure things out.”

God Says:

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Prov. 3:5-6).

The Heart Says:

“I cannot do it.”

God Says:

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”  (Jer.

32:27)

The Heart Says:

“I am not able.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency
in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8).

The Heart Says:

“It is s not worth it.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified” (Rom. 8:28-30).

“It will be worth it all,
when we see Jesus,
Life’s trials will seem so small
when we see Christ.

One glimpse of his dear face,
all sorrow will erase.
So, bravely run the race
till we see Christ.”

The Heart Says:

“I cannot forgive myself.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9).

The Heart Says:

“I have committed an unpardonable sin.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).

“The Heart Says:

“I am afraid.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7).

The Heart Says:

“I am always worried.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

The Heart Says:

“I am not smart enough.”

The Holy Spirit Says:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5).

The Heart Says:

“I feel so alone.”

Jesus Says:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5).

The Heart Says:

“I do not know how to find God.”

God Says:

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

The Heart Says:

“My sin is unforgiveable.”

God Says:

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return
unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly
pardon” (Isaiah 55:7).
