One of the most despicable articles imaginable was posted on the web by Rebecca Todd Peters on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 12:52 PM.
In her post, Rebecca Peters says she is a Presbyterian minister, a Christian ethicist, a professor of religious studies, a wife, a mother of two—and a murderess of two babies. Rebecca is without repentance, regret, or even a twinge of conscience over this transgression of the Law of God who says, “THOU SHALT NOT KILL” (Ex. 20:13).
To justify the evil of slaughtering her unborn children, Rebecca Peters articulates her diabolical rationale, and then justifies her abomination in the name of Jesus Christ, the very One who said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matt. 19:14, NIV).
Rebecca Peters, by her own admission, has made sure two precious babies will never see the light of day in order to know, and love, the gentle Jesus, and go to Him. This unkind, unloving woman killed her babies before she allowed that to happen. Then, Rebecca has the audacity to say that the Giver of Life (Gen. 2:7), approves of the slaughter of the innocent.
Rebecca Peters argues that abortion can be a “moral good.”
If a woman is not ready emotionally, or physically able to parent a child, the pregnancy should be terminated rather than allow a baby to be born and adopted by a loving family.
If having a baby is an inconvenience, if the baby interrupts one’s education or career, then the child should be eliminated. That is a moral good, says Rebecca Peters.
If a woman finds herself in the midst of a failing marriage, she should kill her baby. It would be an act of moral goodness.
It was not Jesus, or her Christian faith that led Rebecca Peters to abort her two babies, but her own mother’s approval of the depths of depravity in her own selfish soul. Rebecca Peters had a mother who did not teach her to love her children, as she should have (Titus 2:4). No, mother told Rebecca, “You shouln’t have a baby just because you are pregnant—you should have a baby because you want to be a mother, you want to have a family.” In this way, the sins of the parents are visited upon the children. A murdering mother breeds a heartless killer of babies.
There is Mercy with the Lord
God will forgive Rebecca Peters if she repents of the evil she has done, and prays for Divine mercy and grace. Jesus will show her more mercy than she showed her two unborn babies.

The Church is Owed an Apology
Rebecca Peters owes the true Christian church an apology for using her office to teach women that a child can be slaughtered if the mother is inconvenienced, uncertain about parenting, or facing a difficult future.
If a woman can kill her unborn baby, even up to the ninth month of conception, why not kill the child in a post abortion procedure? Why not wait a few years and then kill the child? That is what Susan Smith did.
In 1994, Susan Smith faced a difficult future. Her children inconvenienced her. On October 25, 1994, Susan Smith reported to police that her vehicle had been carjacked by a black man who drove away with her sons, Michael Daniel, and Alexander Tyler, still inside. For nine days, Susan Smith made tearful pleas on national television for their safe return. However, following an intensive investigation and a nationwide search for them, Smith finally confessed on November 3, 1994, that she made sure her car would roll into nearby John D. Long Lake, in South Carolina, drowning the precious boys inside.
There is no moral difference between the self-righteous Rebecca Peters and Susan Smith.
On the issue of abortion, Rebecca Peters is wrong. God will hold her accountable. There is a payday, someday, for those who have no respect for human life, and who will not repent. There is a certain fearful judgment that awaits those that find pleasure in others who unite with them in acts of evil (Rom. 1:32).
Be Angry, and Sin Not
There is a place for white hot moral outrage against Rebecca Peters, and for everyone who embraces her position on abortion as they try to justify that which is unjustifiable. The Lord Jesus Christ does not approve of women killing their children. Jesus died to stop such madness. “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work” (1 John 3:8).
What a blessing it would be if Rebecca Peters embraced the true Christian faith, as it is set forth in Scripture, not as Rebecca imagines it to be in her twisted ethics. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20).
