On February 14, 2018, 17 young people were killed in a mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Nikolas Cruz, 19, was taken into custody. The mass shooting could have been prevented for law enforcement officers knew about Cruz and his murderous intentions. However, neither the FBI nor Broward Sheriff Scott Israel did anything to stop the massacre. During the shooting, four armed police officers hid in safety while Cruz shot, wounded, and killed his former class mates.
Feigning outrage and horror, Americans are once more demanding that someone be held accountable for these murders, and changes be made. One tepid and foolish response has been to blame the NRA, the National Rifle Association. President Trump has suggested schools get harder, and allow trained teachers and school officials to carry concealed weapons. He has also declared his intention to get rid of bump stocks.
While holding individuals in the FBI and Broward County accountable for derelictions of duty is important, while getting rid of bump stocks may be emotionally satisfying, while insisting on stronger background checks before allowing a fire arm to be purchased is reasonable, the killing of children will continue, because America is officially committed to killing her children
All the protestations to the contrary are meaningless. It is true. There is objective evidence. Just look at some numbers.
50 – The number of mass murders or attempted mass murders, at a school since the 1999 Columbine High School massacre. (FBI records)
141 – The number of people killed in a mass murder, or attempted mass murder, at a school since Columbine. (FBI records)
73 – The percentage of school shooters with no prior criminal record, not even an arrest. (U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Department of Education)

17 – The number of kids aged 15, or younger who have committed, or attempted a mass school shooting since Columbine. (FBI records)

It is not enough to observe that America does not adequately protect her children. The problem is far more ominous. America deliberately, and officially, kills her children.
The official killing of children is upheld, year after year by the Supreme Court, since its soulless ruling, Roe v. Wade, issued in 1973.
The official killing of children is practiced by Planned Parenthood each and every day in America. In 2016, approximately 893,000 abortions took place.
The official killing of children is sanctioned by law enforcement, that will not move to protect the children by all means necessary. In September, 2016, in a jointly issued guidance policy, the Department of Education, and the Department of Justice insisted that schools should not allow police to enforce basic discipline. The idea was to stop the flow of young hoodlums from schools to prison, and make former President Obama and Eric Holder’s Justice Department look better. A perverted concept of social justice officially took precedent over personal safety. And so the rapes, murders, beatings, and mass killings of children continue.
The official killing of children is officially protected by allowing child pornography to flourish. America is the leading exporter of child pornography in the world, according to the Attorney General’s Commission on Pornography (1986).
Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer of Wisconsin, speaking of his routine before hunting for a victim said, “Just…using pictures of past victims…the pornography videos, the magazines…” Jeffrey Dahmer killed 17 boys and men.
Ted Bundy, convicted rapist and mutilation murderer of Washington, said that hard-core pornography had a “crystallizing effect” on his violent tendencies, and his acting out during the 1970s. One of his last victims was a 12 year old girl in Florida.
Arthur Gary Bishop from Utah, executed for raping and murdering five boys in the 1980s, said pornography’s “effect on me was devastating.”
Wisconsin resident Ed Gein, America’s first serial killer during the 1950s, aka The Butcher of Plainfield, and inspiration for movies such as Psycho, Maniac, and The Silence of the Lambs “accumulated a library of anatomy books, and pornographic magazines.
John Wayne Gacy’s wife filed for divorce in 1976 because “Gacy’s moods had become erratic, and [she] had found Gacy’s pornographic magazine collection which was all centered around young boys.” Gacy killed at least 33 young men and boys in Chicago, Illinois.
The nickname BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill) was given to Dennis Rader, a Kansas native, who killed 10 people. “He kept meticulous records of his fantasies and crimes in what he called his ‘mother lode’ collection of pornography.”
David Berkowitz killed over a dozen people in New York. He joined a cult, and was introduced to “drug use, sadistic pornography and violent crime.” The cult also created and distributed child pornography. (What Serial Killers and Murders think about Pornography, July 2, 2013)
The official killing of children is sanctioned, defended, and promoted, by the mainstream media that glorifies single parent households, transgenderism, homosexuality, and the sexual exploitation of children in music, art, fashion shows, magazines, and movies.
The conclusion is that the killing of children is officially woven into the fabric of current American society. Society will continue to kill the children, and will allow them to be killed by failure to protect them until the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is embraced.
The Biblical Solution to the Slaughter of Children
More than two thousand years ago, God spoke to another culture that killed children. Rome’s widespread practice of infanticide did not protect either sex. One day, God the Holy Spirit led the apostle Paul to give some practical counsel to Titus who was to instruct mature Christian women to teach the younger women to “love their children.”
“The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.” (Titus 2:3-4)
Maternal love is not as natural as some believe. Because of The Fall, the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it? (Jer. 17:9)
To teach people to love is the Divine solution to the official killing of America’s children. The church has a message the world desperately needs to hear. We must find a better way of communicating it because the killings will continue. Today, tomorrow, and forever.
