In the Bible, hope is the well-grounded expectation of the future. Only the Christian has hope of eternal life. “Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” (Eph. 2:11-13) The man who denies the existence of God stands without hope. Life is believed to be a cosmic accident. There is no Creator. There is no Designer.

The Christian knows God exists from the argument of life. For everything designed there is a Designer. Life has never been generated from dead matter. From nothing, nothing can come.

The Christian knows God exists from the argument of imparted wisdom the world calls instinct. The goose that flies south for winter and the spider that weaves its web has imparted wisdom, as do all the animals and insects in the world.

The Christian knows God exists from the argument of the Bible. Written over a period of 1500 years by 40 authors, on 3 continents, speaking 3 languages, but without contradiction, the Bible is the most unique book on planet earth. There is prophecy in the Bible, and each prophecy has been proven to be accurate by its fulfilment. Jesus was born of a virgin. He was born in Bethlehem. According to prophesy. They would gamble upon his garments. He would die with the wicked. He would be buried. He was buried in a rich man’s tomb. He would die, but not stay dead. He arose again, according to promise. Those who do not believe in the virgin birth, because the birth of Christ was done without a man, forget that the first man came into existence without a woman or a man.

The world would have a person believe that God does not exist. The world wants people to believe that billions of years ago something came from nothing, which produced water which had something in it develop into a tadpole that crawled out of the water after getting stuck in mud on the banks of a riverbed, and moved on through a fantastic struggle to develop legs and arms, to become a land animal to climb up into a tree so that one day it could fall out only to land on two feet to stand up, and walk into a university to become a professor of science to espouse a theory called theistic evolution, to be able to say, “Thank God I am a man at last!” Those who believe this nonsense need to quickly get inside a house. They are going to be hit by a car and die in stupidity.

The Christian knows God exists from the argument of answered prayer. “O thou that hears prayers.” (Psalm 65:2)

In contrast to the hope of the Christian, the Bible lists three classes of people without hope.

The person who denies there is a God, is without hope. “The fool hath said in his heart there is no God.” (Psalms 14:1)

The person who denies the Bible, is without hope. “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” (Psalm 138:2) Only the Bible gives the revelation of the way of salvation. The Bible does not contain the Word of God, it is the Word of God.

The person who denies Christ, is without hope. Jesus saith, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) It is as plain and simple as that. Salvation is found in a personal relationship with Christ, not a religious organization. St. Peter might have the keys to the kingdom but the Christian has the Door! Jesus said, “I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:7-10)

Come to Christ. Embrace Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Let there be hope in your life, for time, and for eternity.
