Despite the shameful attempt by the current presidential administration to downplay the atrocities occurring in the world based on the teachings of the Koran, and the barbaric acts of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, it is encouraging to remember there was a time when America once had moral clarity, military might, and the will to do what was right which was to defeat the enemies of God and humanity. In June of 1944 the Allies were prepared for the invasion of mainland Europe with the stated goal of defeating and elimination Nazi tyranny. The state of war that existed between the Allies and Axis powers was cast in terms of a Great Crusade indicated by the Order of the Day for 6 June 1944, and signed by General Dwight David Eisenhower.

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force!You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.
In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men.
The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!
I have full confidence in your courage and devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!
Good luck! And let us beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

It is time for America, as a nation, to go before God, confess our sins, and plead for a Christian Warrior-General to lead us to victory over the forces of evil manifested in ISIL. If God is gracious, He will again hear the prayers of His people. He will forgive us our sins, as we turn from them, and call upon Him. If God will show mercy to America, He will soon raise up a new president, and a new military leader with the moral clarity which only a Judeo-Christian doctrine can produce. The promise of God to Israel is the principle on which America must now build her hope for the future.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14).
Apart from gospel repentance, apart from calling on the name of the Lord, apart from a military commander with a clear objective, and the mental fortitude to lead the nations of the world into battle for total victory, ISIL will continue its rise in power, and remain a terror to the world. The madness of ISIL will not stop until it is annihilated, for evil cannot be contained, or assimilated. It must be exterminated by prayer, and by the sword which God has authorized. The Last Crusade was in 1944. A New Crusade is needed in 2015.
